Homeless Outreach

EN, Damien Memorial, D22K

On an early Saturday, Damien Memorial Key Clubbers gathered together at Harbor Church in Honolulu to volunteer at their homeless program. Members started off their day by organizing donated clothes by size and gender for the clothing drive. After they were done, each gathered at their station: hot foods, snacks, drinks, “waiters,” and clothing drives. While some worked with scooping and sharing delicious foods with the homeless, others helped hold their items and meals while talking to them. This service project is one of the most loved projects within the club, and they were more than happy to help out, even if it meant waking up at 6 in the morning on a weekend. It was all worth it in the end when members saw the smiles on the homeless people’s faces and heard their words of gratitude.
