STEM Night
HM, Pleasant Grove, D07S
On March 27, PGKC was given the opportunity to volunteer at Edna Batey’s STEM Night, which was an event that allowed elementary students to learn about STEM through a variety of fun activities. Volunteers were assigned to the game booths, where they provided instructions and managed players. I was assigned to a booth called “Write like Leonardo Da Vinci”, a title written backwards and read straight when reflected in the mirror. While the children had a difficult time following along at first, I was soon able to comfortably lead them in accomplishing the tasks. Seeing their faces light up when they succeeded in writing also brought a huge smile to my face. Overall, the STEM night was a great opportunity to have fun with other PGKC members while interacting with younger students!
