Poly First Meeting
AA, Poly, D16S
On September 9th, 2025, Poly Key Club held our very first meeting of the school year! We kicked things off by introducing our new officer board for the 2025-2026 term. It was a great way for members to get to know the people leading the club and hear about what we have planned. We also shared information about upcoming community service opportunities and ways to get involved right away. In addition to the announcements, we talked about Club Rush and how members can earn service hours by helping create posters to promote Key Club. A fun part of the meeting was our hidden message activity, we gave out prizes to people who paid close attention and could answer questions like “How many white tigers were in the presentation?” or “Where was the brainrot moment?” Overall, it was a fun and successful start to what’s going to be an amazing year!
Beach Bonfire Social
KT, Westminster High School, D04N
The beach bonfire social, in collaboration with Garden Grove Key Club, was one of the most enjoyable events I've experienced as a key club member. Key clubbers from both Westminster Key Club and Garden Grove Key Club had the chance to get to know each other. We had a "riff off" as teams and a contest to test who remembered their chants. In addition to the icebreakers, we spent time in the water and played beach volleyball. After the activities, we started a bonfire where we toasted marshmallows and made s'mores to enjoy. This event was honestly the best social I have attended, and I hope we will continue to have even more socials with GGKC in the future!
Spirit Social
AC, Clayton Valley Charter, D26N
On September 6th, 2025 CVKC attended the first Spirit Social of this term. We had almost all of our officer board and about 17 members in attendance! This Spirit Social took place in the nest (our campus). I will admit, our gym did get pretty hot even with all the doors open, but that didn’t stop this amazing group from cheering at maximum energy! During this event, we learned some signature cheers and the newer chants that our amazing Spirit Team came up with. During the icebreaker games, I had a war flashback from R9 with the hula-hoop races… My favorite part of this event was getting to see faces new and old, hyped for this year’s FRN. I can’t wait to attend the other Spirit Socials and finally attend FRN and (hopefully) win the Spirit Stick this year (knock on wood)!
First Campus Cleanup
DG, Rodriguez, D8E
Key Club members participated in our first campus cleanup of the year. Equipped with gloves, trash pickers, and trash bags, we worked together to keep our school campus clean and welcoming. It was a great way to bond with new members while making an immediate impact on our community. It was a great way to set the stage for weekly campus cleanups, starting the year strong with teamwork and service!
BCA Bracelet Making
KT, Sunny Hills, D30N
In the month of October, Sunny Hills Key Club was filled with different activities. We had a successful meeting where we went over collecting club dues, spirit nights, Fall Rally South, and our upcoming service project. We had a ton of people show up. Also, we had our service project of the month. We partnered up with Creatives for Social Change Club (CSC) to make beaded bracelets to support breast cancer awareness. The bracelets were full of a variety of pink beads, charms, and letter beads and were really fun to make! Finally, we attended the division spirit nights where we got to learn all of the new cheers for Fall Rally South!
